Job summary

St George in Newport is seeking a Midday Supervisory Assistant to oversee pupils during the lunch break, ensuring safety, welfare and orderly conduct within a busy school environment.

You will supervise pupils across the school premises, assist with setting up and clearing away eating equipment, and support individual children as required while promoting positive behaviours and healthy eating habits. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• An ability to build good relationships with colleagues and pupils.
• An understanding of, and willingness to hold safeguarding at the centre of their practice.
• Willingness to undertake training as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils across school premises during the lunch period.
• Lay up and clear away eating equipment and assist with feeding individual children as required.
• Encourage appropriate behaviours and eating skills for safe, healthy lunchtime routines.

Job description

Salary– Hay Grade 1–£5,532 – £5,619 per annum, actual

Hours per week–10hours per week– 2 hours per day (Mon – Fri, 11.30 – 13.30),term-time only (38 weeks)

As an MSA, you will ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the midday break period, in order to maintain a healthy, clean and safe learning environment for pupils and staff.

Your role will includethe supervision of pupils across school premises, laying up and clearing away of eating equipment and feeding individual children as required, whilst encouraging appropriate behaviours and eating skills.
