Job summary

St John's School in Greater London is seeking enthusiastic Midday Supervisory Assistants to support individuals and small groups of pupils at lunchtime, including feeding, supervision and care needs, and promoting safe, positive play.

Hours are 1.75 hours a day (11:45am–1:30pm), Monday to Friday, term time only. The post is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance, satisfactory references, health clearance and a probationary period.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with or caring for children and/or young people.
• Ability to supervise and play with children.
• Experience of assisting individuals with personal care needs including feeding and toileting.
• Experience of working as part of a team.
• Experience of offering support and praise to individuals.

Job description

We are looking to recruit excellent, enthusiastic and highly motivated Midday Supervisory Assistants. To support individuals and small groups of pupils over the lunchtime period with feeding, supervision, and care needs.

The hours of work are 1.75 hours a day (11.45am - 1.30pm) Monday to Friday, Term Time only.

To be successful in this role, we would ideally like you to have

Experience of working with or caring for children and/or young people

Ability to supervise and play with children on the playground/hall

Experience of assisting individuals with personal care needs including feeding & toileting

Experience of working as part of a team

Experience of offering support and praise to individuals
