The Phoenix Collegiate is seeking a reliable midday supervisor to provide a visible presence in the lunchtime period.
You will work under the midday supervisor team, supervise students, support welfare, and help maintain high standards of behaviour. The role requires patience, calm communication with young people, and the ability to handle challenging situations in a busy school environment. An enhanced DBS will be required before commencement.
TITLE: Midday Supervisor
GRADE: Grade B £5648 p.a. Actual salary after adjustment for hours and weeks
HOURS: 9.2 hours per week (Working Hours: 12:30 to 14:20 daily) Term Time only
CONTRACT: Permanent
Phoenix is looking to appoint a willing and well-motivated midday supervisor, to provide a highly visible presence around school during the lunchtime period. You will work under the guidance of the senior or principal midday supervisor and alongside the midday team, carrying out supervision of students and attending to student welfare. You will help ensure student discipline and standards of behaviour, interacting with the School’s pastoral team as required.
You must be patient and calm, able to communicate effectively with young people, explaining and giving instructions simply and clearly. You should also be willing and able to deal appropriately with challenging behaviours
