Job summary

Kingsbury Primary School is seeking a Midday Supervisor to supervise pupils at lunchtimes and help manage play and movement between areas. You will work 1.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday, totaling 6.25 hours weekly, in a friendly village setting near Tamworth.

About Us & The Role

Kingsbury Primary School is located in Kingsbury, Near Tamworth, catering for children from 4 years to 11 years. We are a friendly village school, passionate about ensuring all children have access to the highest quality education in a safe and stimulating environment.
We are seeking to appoint a Mid-Day Supervisor to join our friendly team of lunchtime staff as soon as possible. The contract is for 6.25 hours to work with our children in the dinner hall, playground and escorting them to and from class. You will work for 1.25 hours per day from 12pm – 1.15pm, Monday – Friday.

Key Requirements

The post holder will be responsible for looking after pupils during their midday break, this will involve supervising the collection and eating of lunches, cleaning of any spillages, organising the children coming in and out of the building, escorting them from class to the dinner hall and initiating play activities outside. The successful candidate will be able to engage, encourage and get involved with playground activities or indoor wet play activities with children.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is able to work as part of a team – listening to others, sharing ideas, being helpful to one another
• Is sensible and able to use their initiative

They will also need to be mindful of the specific needs of children on our SEND register or those that have medical needs. Full training will be given for this. Previous experience in the role is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be given.
