Job summary

Crofton Cubs Pre-School, within Crofton Infant School, is seeking a Midday Supervisor to assist children during lunch. You will supervise lunchtime activities from 11:30 am to 1 pm and help children with meals in a safe environment.

Term-time only (38 weeks/year) with BR4 point 12 equivalent salary. Experience with young children and safeguarding knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

  • You will need a sunny disposition.
  • Experience with pre-school children is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the needs of 2-4-year-olds.
  • Ability to engage children and work as part of a team.
  • Understanding safeguarding and relevant procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Lunchtime supervision from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm and assisting children with meals.
  • Support safe play and supervise lunchtime activities.
  • Follow pre-school policies and procedures and contribute to safeguarding.

Job description

Salary: BR4 point 12 £25,522 pa FTE (£4,437.93 pa Actual Salary)

Hours: 11:30 am - 1pm, Monday to Friday, term time only 38 weeks per year

Crofton Cubs Pre-School is situated within Crofton Infant School. We are looking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to assist the children during their lunch time activities.

The lunch break is between 11:30 am and 1 pm, the children will need assistance with their food and lunchtime play ensuring that they are safe at all times.

About you

You will will need:

  • A sunny disposition
  • Former experience working with pre-school children would be advantageous
  • An understanding of the needs of children aged 2-4 years old
  • An ability to engage children
  • To work as a member of the team
  • To manage behaviour
  • An understanding of safeguarding and signs to be aware of
  • To work within the Pre-Schools policies and procedures
