Job summary

River Mill Primary School, part of Mosaic Schools Learning Trust, is seeking a caring Midday Supervisor to ensure pupil safety and welfare during lunch. You will supervise dining hall and outdoor areas, support pupils with meals, and help maintain a calm, safe environment.

The role requires a patient, flexible and proactive approach, with good communication to liaise with pupils, staff and parents. Experience with children is beneficial, and safeguarding awareness is essential.

Job title: Midday Supervisor
Reports to: Head Teacher and Assistant Head Teacher
Hours: 8.75 per week (11:30am - 1:15pm Monday to Friday), 38 weeks per year (term time only)

River Mill Primary School is seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the Head Teacher, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the lunchtime period. Responsibilities include supervising children in the dining hall and outdoor areas, supporting pupils during meals, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, dealing with minor incidents and contributing to the positive ethos of the school. The successful candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills, a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents. Previous experience working with children would be beneficial, but most importantly we are looking for someone who is patient, flexible, proactive and passionate about supporting young people.
