Alver Valley Schools is seeking a Lunch Time Supervisor to support pupils during lunchtimes. The role requires understanding of child behaviour, promoting positive play and ensuring a safe, friendly environment.

You will work as part of a supportive team, communicate well, and follow safeguarding procedures under guidance. The position is term-time only with modest annual pay and regular hours.

Responsabilités

• Assisting pupils with food consumption – opening cartons and cutting food.
• Cleaning spillages and surfaces.
• Supervision of pupils to ensure their safety.
• Disposal of foodstuffs under supervision.

Hours: 6.67 per week 11:45 – 13:05 Mon-Fri term time only

Actual Annual Salary £3859

The successful candidate will:

• have an understanding and awareness of child behaviour
• have high expectations of children’s behaviour
• be proactive and promote ‘positive play’
• actively engage with children to ensure playtimes are enjoyable
• be able to work well with others, under guidance, and show own initiative
• be a good communicator, great team player and have a good sense of humour
• have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.

Duties will include:

• assisting pupils with food consumption – i.e. opening cartons, cutting food for the children
• cleaning spillages and surfaces
• supervising disposal of foodstuffs
• Supervision of pupils to ensure their safety
