Ellison Boulters Church of England Primary School is seeking a happy, reliable Midday Supervisory Assistant to join a friendly lunchtime team. The role is 5 hours per week during term time (38 weeks per annum) and focuses on creating a safe, enjoyable and sociable lunchtime for all pupils.

Duties include setting up lunchtime, supervising children eating, serving meals, clearing away, supervising on the playground, supporting positive play in line with the School Behaviour Policy, and reporting

Qualifications

• Be enthusiastic and enjoy working with children.
• Able to communicate effectively with children of all abilities.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of pupils.
• Hard working, organised, and able to use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Setting up lunchtime and supervising children eating.
• Serving up hot meals and clearing away afterwards.
• Supervising on the playground and supporting positive play.
• Ensure incidents are reported to the right person and escalated as required.
• Other tasks to support the effective running of lunchtimes.
• Basic health and hygiene training will be provided, along with safeguarding and first aid training.
