Job summary

Old Hall Junior School is seeking a caring Midday Supervisor to join our dedicated team and help create a safe, enjoyable lunchtime experience for our pupils. You will supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground, promote positive behaviour, support social play, and respond quickly to minor incidents in line with safeguarding policies.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential; a DBS check will be completed prior to appointment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is welcome but not essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are important.
• Ability to organise effectively and work as part of a team.
• Demonstrates initiative and good decision-making with minimal supervision.
• Show respect to adults and children and understanding of safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime indoors and outdoors.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of all children at all times.
• Promote positive behaviour in line with the school policy.
• Support children in the dining hall and promote good table manners.
• Organise safe, inclusive play activities for pupils.
• Respond to minor accidents and report concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with the school team to ensure a positive lunchtime experience.
