Job summary

Hearsall Community Academy in Coventry is seeking a reliable Midday Supervisor on a fixed-term maternity cover. The role is 7.5 hours per week, term-time aligned, and involves supporting children in the dining room as well as supervising them in the hall and on the playground.

You will help maintain a safe, caring environment, build positive relationships with pupils and staff, and undertake safeguarding training to support children's welfare in line with Trust and academy policies.

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, flexible and practical individual. The successful candidate will support our school in assisting children in the dining room and supervising them in the hall and out on the playground.

We are looking for some who:
  • Has experience working with children and be able to form positive relationships but maintain good discipline.
  • Possess good individual and team skills and be ready to deal with a variety of situations and challenges.

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children's welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
