Job summary

Whitegate Primary and Nursery School is seeking a Midday Supervisor to join the team. The role is part-time (5 hours per week), term-time only, and permanent, with a salary grade of A point 3 (FTE £24,796 per annum). An actual salary of £2,808.18 per annum is quoted (pending pay award).

The successful candidate will supervise, organise and safeguard children during lunch and play, and help create a calm, enjoyable dining environment across the school grounds.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and safeguarding awareness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervision, organisation and safeguarding of children within the playground or dining hall environment.

• Use class registers and operate the system designed to ensure all children receive a school meal.
• Encourage dining arrangements that promote an orderly and pleasant meal service for pupils.
• Assist as required to ensure a calm, clean environment in the dining hall.
• Support smooth meal times and maintain hygiene standards.

Whitegate Primary and Nursery School is looking for a motivated, energetic and organised individual to become part of the Midday Supervisor team.

Main Responsibilities are:

1. Supervision, organisation and safeguarding of children within the playground or dining hall
2. environment.
3. Organise and develop interactive activities for the children during play
4. To use class registers and operate the system designed to ensure all children receive a school meal
5. To encourage dining arrangements that promotes an orderly and pleasant meal service for pupils.
6. To assist as required to ensure a calm, clean environment in the dining hall

You will:

1. Exhibit a calm and reassuring manner
2. Be passionate about making a difference to every child.
3. value a team working approach and be keen to contribute and share your skills with colleagues
4. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build on and maintain strong relationships with staff, parents and carers, children, governors and the local and wider community.
