Greenslade Primary School is seeking a motivated and energetic Midday Meals Supervisor to join a friendly team. You will supervise pupils during lunch and break times, support pupils with additional needs where required, and help promote a safe, positive school environment.

The role is term-time only (39 weeks a year) with inset days, and requires a commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupils’ welfare. DBS checks are required. Start date: 2 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of supervising children in a paid or unpaid capacity
• Experience of supporting pupils with additional needs
• Understanding of the importance of the school meal / packed lunch and the midday break as a social and educational occasion
• Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and children’s wellbeing
• An ability to work as a member of a team
• The ability to relate to pupils and to deal with them patiently and firmly using positive strategies
