Job summary

Supply Desk is recruiting a Midday Supervisor for a full-time position at Holmer Green. You will oversee lunchtime and break periods, ensuring children's safety, wellbeing and enjoyment during school days. DBS clearance is required or you must be willing to obtain one.

The role involves supervising pupils, supporting inclusive practices, and collaborating with school staff to maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to children, ensuring safety, wellbeing and individual needs are met.
• Monitor playgrounds, dining areas, classrooms and other designated areas to keep students safe.
• Support lunchtime routines, including entering and leaving the dining area and queuing.
• Assist students who may require additional support during lunchtime or outdoor activities.
• Encourage positive participation in playground games and activities.
• Help create a welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable environment for all students.
• Respond to minor incidents and report to staff as needed; follow safeguarding procedures.
• Provide basic first aid where trained and support health and safety policies.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you will play an important role in ensuring students are safe, happy, and well-supported during lunchtime and break periods. Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and individual needs are met at all times.
• Monitor playgrounds, dining areas, classrooms, and other designated areas to ensure students remain safe and supervised.
• Support students during lunchtime routines, including entering and leaving the dining area, queuing, and eating appropriately.
• Assist students who may require additional support during lunchtime or outdoor activities.
• Encourage students to participate positively in playground games and activities.
• Help create a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable environment where all students feel safe and supported.
• Respond appropriately to minor incidents, accidents, and behavioural concerns, reporting any issues to the appropriate member of staff.
• Provide basic first aid where appropriately trained and follow the school's procedures for accidents and emergencies.
• Support students who may have additional needs, including SEND, during lunchtime and outdoor activities.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout lunch and break periods.
• Monitor the safety of playground equipment and report any hazards or concerns promptly.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and the wider school team.
• Support the school's behaviour, safeguarding, and health and safety policies at all times.
• Promote the school's values and encourage students to demonstrate kindness, respect, and positive behaviour.
