Job summary

Deanwood Primary School in Rainham is seeking to appoint a reliable Midday Meals Supervisor to start in September 2026. You will supervise pupils at lunchtime, helping to create a safe dining and play environment and supporting outdoor play as part of our OPAL journey.

This is a part-time, term-time-only role, paid on the NJC pay scale E2 point 2. The pro rata salary is £3,617 per annum. The pattern is 6 hours 15 minutes weekly, Monday to Friday, during term time.

Job description

Deanwood Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Midday Meals Supervisor to start from September 2026.

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Midday Meals Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will supervise pupils during lunchtime, helping to create a safe and enjoyable dining and play environment. As we begin our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) journey, we are looking for someone who is keen to engage in outdoor play with children in all weather. This is a part time, permanent, Term Time Only role, paid on the NJC pay scale E2 point 2 (FTE £25,614 - actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis which equates to £3,617 per annum).

The working pattern will consist of 6 hours and 15 minutes per week, Monday-Friday. This role is only required during the school's term time.
