Job summary

Queen Katharine Academy is seeking a Midday Assistant to support students during lunch breaks and break times on a term-time basis. The role runs 12.30pm–2.30pm, Monday to Friday, across 38 weeks, with 10 hours weekly, in a busy school environment.

You will help maintain a calm, positive atmosphere, promote kindness and safety, and be a visible role model supporting students' wellbeing and personal growth. Experience with young people is essential.

Salary: Pathway 1, £5,776 per year (FTE £25,614)

Yourrole:

As a Midday Assistant at QueenKatharine Academy, you'll play a vital part in supporting students during theirlunch break, whether in the lunch hall or outdoor spaces. You'll help maintaina calm and positive atmosphere, encourage respectful behaviour, and ensurestudents feel safe and supported. You'll be a visible role model, helpingstudents make the most of their time at school and contributing to theirwellbeing and personal growth.

We're looking for someone whocommunicates clearly, works well in a team, and brings empathy and initiativeto the role. Experience working with young people is essential, and you'll needto be confident in following safeguarding procedures and promoting a culture ofkindness and fairness.
