Heath Hayes Primary Academy invites applications for a Midday Assistant to support lunchtime supervision, ensuring pupils are safe, engaged and well-supervised during eating and play times. You will assist with table manners, facilitate activities, and help with minor first aid as needed.

We value reliability, good communication with children and adults, and a caring approach to managing lunchtime activities in a busy primary setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with young children.
  • Basic understanding of child development and learning.
  • Enthusiasm and dedication to caring and supporting pupils’ lunch time activities.

Responsabilités

  • Assist with pupils’ table manners and use of cutlery.
  • Coordinate a range of interactive play activities.
  • Administer minor first aid and ensure the welfare and safety of pupils.

Description du poste

We are looking for an enthusiastic Midday Assistant to join our collaborative and growing Academy team at Heath Hayes Primary Academy. You need to be committed to providing children with a safe and enjoyable lunchtime period. You willassist with pupils’ table manners and use of cutleryandwill also be responsibleforcoordinating a range of interactive playactivities, administeringminor firstaidand ensuringthe welfare and safety of the pupils.

As a Midday Assistant, you will be passionate about ensuring the best outcomes for children and giving them every opportunity to succeed. Every child is respected and treated as an individual, with no limits placed on their learning - just opportunities to continually improve. We give all children the opportunity to challenge themselves through a range of tasks and activities - empowering children to take ownership and responsibility for their own learning.

In particular, successful candidates should have:

  • Experience of working with young children
  • Basic understanding of child development and learning
  • Enthusiasm and dedication to caring and supporting pupils’ lunch time activities

You should be:

  • A responsible and reliable person
  • Confident in dealing with young people, maintaining discipline and motivation
  • Able to relate well to pupils and adults
