Job summary

Yardley Primary School in Greater London is seeking Ad-hoc Midday Assistants to help raise pupils' social achievements by supervising lunchtimes and ensuring a safe, supportive environment that prepares them for the afternoon.

The role may develop into a longer-term contract and could involve working with nursery, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 pupils, or providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Adhere to safeguarding and health-and-safety guidelines.
• Ability to support pupils during lunch and playtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lunchtimes are safe, enjoyable, and well-supervised.
• Support pupils across nursery to Key Stage 2 and assist pupils with additional needs when required.

Job description

Midday Assistants have a shared role within the school in helping to raise the social achievements of pupils. They are responsible for ensuring that lunchtimes are an enjoyable and safe experience for all the children, so that they are physically and mentally prepared to learn during the afternoon.

We are looking to employ;

• ADHOC Midday assistant with the possibility of a longer term contract in the future. This could be to work with nursery, keystage1, keystage 2 or 1:1 with pupils with additional needs.
