Job summary

Jobtailor in London, UK, is seeking an experienced backend or full-stack engineer to design and build reliable, scalable features with minimal supervision. You will participate in architectural discussions and ensure performance, security, and reliability across components.

You will collaborate with Product, UX, and Data/BI to deliver end-to-end solutions, write tests, automate deployments, and help release and maintain our advanced advertising platform, including client bidding and real-time

Job description

Design and build reliable, scalable features with minimal supervision
Contribute to architectural discussions and code reviews
Ensure performance, security, and reliability in components
Write tests and automate deployments
Collaborate closely with Product, User Experience, and Data / BI to deliver end-to-end solutions
Understand business and end-user needs, problems, and feedback to optimise the product
Capture data and metrics on product success and delivery to continuously improve
Help release and maintain the advanced advertising platform, including client bidding for advertising space, advertising portal graphics control, real-time data, ad performance, feature builds, and migrations

Requirements

• At least 4 years of software engineering experience as a backend or full stack engineer using React, NodeJS, Typescript, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, Postgres, SQL, or Grafana
• Experience with APIs, data flows, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring
• Ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic delivery
• Ability to understand business and user needs or problems and define realistic solutions
• Good understanding of system design and performance trade-offs
