Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced software engineer to write, test and maintain high-quality code in Django and Python. You will implement features aligned to engineering standards and participate in automated testing and design discussions.

You will work with AWS/Azure/GCP, React and Node.js, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and system design under guidance from senior engineers. This role is ideal for collaborative cross-functional teams and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and Django for web development.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Python and a web-development framework such as Django
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, ideally in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Strong understanding of core software engineering principles
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and version control
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies and domain knowledge
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• Exposure to React, Node.js, Terraform, Celery or containerisation (desirable)
• Understanding of database schema design and query optimisation (desirable)
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, cloud-native services or distributed systems (desirable)
