Job summary

Digital Skills ltd is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join a high-profile digital product team delivering customer-facing experiences at global scale. In a cloud-native environment, you will help build search and engagement capabilities and work across frontend and backend.

You will use React, TypeScript, Java, AWS, and AI-assisted development tools, collaborate with Product, UX and Engineering, design scalable services, and participate in Agile ceremonies to accelerate delivery

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Excellent Java development experience with web services and APIs.
• Experience with Micro Frontends and Backend-for-Frontend architectures.
• Proven experience with AWS and cloud deployment environments.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with Git, automated testing and modern software engineering best practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaborative working skills.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and enhancing customer-facing web applications and services.
• Building modern frontend solutions using React, TypeScript and micro frontend architectures.
• Designing and developing backend services using Java and cloud-native technologies.
• Working closely with Product, UX and Engineering teams to translate requirements into high-quality solutions.
• Strong experience with system design.
• Leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality and reliability.
• Contributing to API development, integrations and scalable platform services.
• Supporting performance, monitoring, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies and collaborating across multiple engineering teams.

Key Skills Required

• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Excellent Java development experience, including modern web services and APIs.
• Experience working with Micro Frontends (MFE) and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architectures.
• Proven experience with AWS and cloud-based deployment environments.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and scalable distributed systems.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaborative working skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agentic AI, AI-powered development tools, or AI-enabled product features.
