Capgemini's Cloud Native Hyperscaler Azure team is seeking an experienced and passionate Microsoft Azure DevOps / Platform Engineer to help deliver enterprise‑scale cloud transformation programmes for some of the world's leading organisations. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, enabling you to shape DevOps strategy, drive platform engineering excellence, and influence cloud‑native delivery across complex client environments.
You will play a key role in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and automated Azure platforms, leading engineering teams, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients. Working closely with delivery teams, architects, developers, operations specialists, and Microsoft partners, you'll help clients accelerate software delivery while embedding security, quality, and reliability into every stage of the development lifecycle.
As a senior member of our Azure practice, you'll also contribute to capability growth, support pre‑sales activities, mentor engineers, and help shape the future of DevOps, platform engineering, and AI‑enhanced delivery within Capgemini.
Lead the design, implementation, and management of Azure DevOps pipelines and cloud platform solutions.
Define DevOps strategies and roadmaps aligned to client business objectives.
Act as the primary technical advisor and stakeholder contact for DevOps and platform engineering initiatives.
Lead and mentor teams of DevOps and Platform Engineers across large‑scale delivery programmes.
Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices across software development and infrastructure lifecycles.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and related automation technologies.
Deliver Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
Build and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud environments.
Implement GitOps practices and infrastructure automation capabilities.
Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to improve release velocity and platform reliability.
Champion platform modernisation and cloud‑native ways of working.
Explore and implement AI‑enhanced capabilities across CI/CD, testing, observability, and operational workflows.
Promote monitoring, observability, and operational excellence through modern tooling and best practices.
Contribute to engineering standards, reusable accelerators, and DevOps reference architectures.
Proven experience delivering enterprise‑scale Azure DevOps and Platform Engineering solutions, including CI/CD pipeline design and automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitHub Actions.
Strong hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, alongside scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Deep understanding of Azure cloud services, cloud‑native architectures, containerisation, and Kubernetes, with a focus on scalability, resilience, and automation.
Experience embedding DevSecOps practices, Azure security controls, identity management (Entra ID), and governance frameworks within cloud delivery programmes.
Strong knowledge of monitoring, observability, and GitOps practices, leveraging tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with experience leading engineering teams, mentoring colleagues, and engaging with clients in complex delivery environments.
