Job summary

JD Sports seeks an on-site Maintenance Engineer to support Kingsway Rochdale DC, providing mechanical handling equipment maintenance and rapid fault diagnosis. You will work with the service team, planners and operations to ensure continuous production and equipment availability.

You will perform preventative maintenance, document actions in the CMMS, and liaise with external manufacturers as required to keep the site running 24/7.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with Siemens PLC systems.
• PC literate with Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Rectify MHE breakdowns and provide technical support.
• Undertake preventative maintenance with accurate records in CMMS.
• Demonstrate specialist equipment knowledge to facilitate PPMs and repairs.
• Work with Engineering to promote best practice and reliability.
• Liaise with manufacturers outside the UK as needed.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and PLC fault diagnosis on system types.
• Meet site SLA/KPI performance criteria.
