JD Sports Fashion PLC, Kingsway Rochdale, is seeking a skilled Mechanical/ Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support MHE, conveyors, cranes, and PLC-based control systems at the Kingsway distribution centre. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults and support continuous production to keep operations efficient.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• ONC/HNC or equivalent experience in engineering.
• Proficient in PLC fault diagnosis and Siemens systems.
• Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis capability.
• Experience with MS Office tools for documentation.

Responsabilités

• Perform rectification of MHE breakdowns and provide technical support.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to high standards within scheduled timescales.
• Demonstrate specialist equipment knowledge to facilitate PPMs and repairs.
• Work with the engineering team to improve reliability of kit for operations.
• Coordinate with external manufacturers and suppliers as needed.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and PLC faults across system types.
• Meet performance criteria and maintain safety and quality standards.
• Keep workshops and stores orderly and record parts usage in CMMS.
• Ensure hygiene standards are followed and documentation is up to date.
• Assist in planning maintenance, modifications, and fault rectification work.
