Job summary

Computacenter AG & Co. oHG is seeking an experienced Shift Engineer to join our team in Hatfield. You will perform electrical maintenance on material handling equipment and diagnose PLC faults, ensuring timely fault resolution and planned maintenance.

The role requires on-site presence five days a week and strong safety awareness. The ideal candidate has a solid electrical background, experience with PLCs, and the ability to work in a production environment with high standards.

Qualifications

Qualified and time-served technician with strong electrical background.
Experience in fault finding and rectification in a demanding production environment.
Previous experience with PLCs is advantageous.
Experience in maintaining automated materials handling equipment or similar.

Responsibilities

Electrical maintenance of material handling equipment.
PLC and three-phase fault finding and testing.
Respond promptly to machine faults and carry out planned maintenance on a scheduled basis.
Ensure regular maintenance of machinery and equipment to the highest standards.
Actively identify and rectify defects in a timely manner.
Support with facilities when required.
Complete time sheets, task sheets, and manage stock control.
Order consumables and manage administrative tasks.
