Job summary

Valeo Foods UK in Heanor is seeking a Day Shift Mezz Operator to join our production team. You will work Monday to Friday, rotating shifts from 6am to 3:30pm, supporting Matthew Walker Christmas puddings.

Key duties include mixing ingredients to spec, following SOPs, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, capturing GMP and quality records, and reporting defects. Relevant experience on mezzanine floor and bulk prep is required.

Qualifications

• Mezz floor and bulk prep experience on production lines.
• Good understanding of IFS system.
• Excellent numeracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mix ingredients to product specifications per daily plan.
• Follow SOPs and work instructions; manage raw materials and components for quality defects.
• Dispose waste materials correctly per waste stream.
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards in the working area.
• Complete actions from GMP and Health & Safety audits within deadlines.
• Ensure output and quality meet specifications; report defects in equipment.
• Maintain paper records and IFS transactions as required.
