Job summary

Valeo Foods UK is seeking a Mezz Operator for our Wallingford site, home of Rowse Honey. The role covers weighing ingredients, following production specs, and ensuring quality, safety and consistency on the mezz floor.

The position involves rotating shifts (6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm) Monday to Friday, reporting to the Mezz Floor Team Leader. You will operate all equipment, maintain records, and support GMP and health & safety audits.

Qualifications

• Mezz floor and bulk prep experience required.
• Familiarity with IFS system and CCPs on Mezz.
• Basic numeracy (L1 equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Mix ingredients to product specifications as per daily production plan.
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, and escalation procedures for raw materials and quality defects.
• Dispose of waste materials in line with site requirements.
• Maintain high safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards.
• Complete actions from GMP and Health & Safety audits within timelines.
• Own output and product quality to meet specifications.
• Report equipment defects or potential issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate paper records and complete IFS transactions as required.
