Job summary

AFI-Rentals, a leading UK powered access specialist, is recruiting a MEWPS Engineer based from our London East depot. You will carry out PDIs, servicing, LOLER inspections, repairs and manufacturer updates, and attend breakdowns on customer sites.

You will record checks on a PDA, follow procedures, and collaborate with the engineering team to keep the fleet available and compliant. An IPAF licence and strong diagnostic skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification required, ideally in plant maintenance.
• Minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
• Competence in electro/hydraulic systems and fault finding/diagnostics.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), servicing, LOLER inspections, repairs and manufacturer updates.
• Attend breakdowns on customer sites and maintain fleet availability.
• Accurately record checks using a PDA and follow company procedures.
• Work with the engineering team and hire office to maximise depot machine availability.
