Job summary

SmartestEnergy UK is seeking an experienced Metering Team Leader to guide the Metering & Settlement team, owning day-to-day operations and performance. You will ensure end-to-end metering processes are completed efficiently, accurately, and in line with service levels while prioritising customer experience and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing senior teams (4+ people) with performance management, discipline, and restructures.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience communicating with senior stakeholders, drafting documents and delivering presentations.
• Knowledge of the UK Energy Industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Metering & Settlement team and take ownership of day-to-day operations.
• Ensure end-to-end metering processes are efficient, accurate, and within service levels.
• Drive performance across metering activities: new connections, smart meter installs, maintenance, and settlements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve service delivery and controls.
• Address and resolve operational issues to support business objectives and regulatory compliance.
