Job summary

Portakabin is seeking a Metal Fabrication Project Planner for our Head Office in York. You will create and deliver manufacturing information, ensuring accurate data to support Hire and Sales across the UK and Europe. The role requires metal fabrication/welding experience and CNC programming with RADAN is advantageous.

We offer a permanent position with 25 days leave, 2.5% annual bonus, and opportunity to travel to offices. Dress code is practical and onsite at New Lane, Huntington, York.

Qualifications

• Metal fabrication/welding experience required.
• CNC programming with RADAN experience.
• Ability to analyse technical information from multiple sources.
• Knowledge of BS EN 1090.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Good IT skills.
• Educational background in fabrication and welding (desirable).
• Experience in fabrication and welding/building industry.
• Excellent attention to detail and planning.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Apprenticeship in metal fabrication/welding (desirable).
• CAD and Revit experience (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide instructions to enable manufacture of metal fabrication components.
• Create detailed method sheets and cutting lists.
• Program CNC machines (RADAN advantageous).
• Collate technical information from multiple functions and communicate with stakeholders.
• Produce electronic manufacturing drawings and meet production deadlines.
• Order materials via the ERP system and meet KPIs.
• Create detailed timesheets outlining activities required to complete component manufacture.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function.
• Organise workload to ensure KPIs are met.
