Job summary

Aqumen Business Solutions in Bradford is seeking a Fabricator to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will read drawings, fabricate and weld components, and work to precise measurements, ensuring quality and timely production.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 6am–6pm, 40 hours per week, with a salary up to £15 per hour and a benefits package including pension, life assurance, private medical and more.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine job requirements.
• Carry out fabrication using hand and power tools.

• Assemble fabricated components and ensure correct dimensions.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and PPE compliance.

Vacancy - Fabricator

Location - Bradford

Hours - 40hrs per week, Monday - Friday - Operating hours: 6am - 6pm

Fabricator

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Fabricator to join a well-established manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out fabrication and manufacturing work to a high standard, working from technical drawings and specifications within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings to understand job requirements.
• Carry out general fabrication and manufacturing duties using a range of hand and power tools.
• Measure, mark out, cut, drill and prepare materials accurately.
• Carry out welding and fabrication work to the required specification and quality standards.
• Assemble fabricated components and structures accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required dimensions, tolerances and quality standards.
• Inspect completed work and identify any defects or issues.
• Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Use machinery, tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Complete job documentation and production paperwork accurately.
• Work as part of a team to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Adhere to all company Health & Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience within a fabrication, manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Previous experience with fabrication, welding or metalwork.
• Good understanding of measurements, dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
• Able to manage workload effectively within a busy production environment.
• Relevant fabrication, welding or engineering qualifications would be advantageous.
