Job summary

Tru Talent in Gloucester is seeking a skilled MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician to repair vehicles to manufacturer specifications in a modern body shop, using up-to-date equipment.

You will have completed an MET apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, with experience in a busy body shop, plus geometry/4 wheel alignment and diagnostic training. The role offers a competitive basic salary of £45,000 plus bonus and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an MET Strip Fitter/Technician apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as MET Technician in a busy body shop.
• Experience with geometry work and 4 wheel alignment.
• Diagnostic training is required.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work to factory specs and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix issues in the vehicle's systems.
• Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and standards.
