Job summary

Tru Talent is seeking a skilled MET Technician/MET Strip Fitter in Bristol to repair vehicles in a state-of-the-art body shop, following manufacturer specifications and using modern equipment.

The ideal candidate has an apprenticeship and NVQ/ATA/IMI/SVQ, plus experience in busy body shops, with a focus on geometry, four-wheel alignment, and diagnostic skills. Mon-Fri hours, with flexible starts/finishes and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognised MET apprenticeship and an related qualification (NVQ/ATA/IMI/SVQ).
• Experience as a MET Technician/Strip Fitter in a busy body shop.
• Strong team player with self-motivation to earn bonus hours.
• Experience with geometry work and four-wheel alignment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
• Diagnostic training.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow correct repair techniques and factory specifications.
• Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as required.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and fix system faults.
• Perform quality checks to ensure work meets industry standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.
