Job summary

Tru Talent is seeking a skilled MET Technician/MET Strip Fitter in Basildon. The role involves repairing vehicles to factory specifications in a modern body shop using advanced equipment.

You will have completed a MET apprenticeship with NVQ/ATA/IMI/SVQ, with experience in busy collision repair environments, geometry work, and 4 wheel alignment. Good team player with diagnostic training is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognised MET apprenticeship and a technical qualification such as NVQ/ATA/IMI/SVQ.
• Experience as MET Technician/Strip Fitter in a busy body shop and able to earn bonus hours.
• Knowledge of geometry work and 4 wheel alignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow repair techniques to factory specs and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and repair/replace components.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues and perform quality checks.
