Job summary

Tru Talent is seeking a skilled MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician to join a leading body shop in Caldicot. You will repair damaged vehicles to factory specifications using modern equipment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have completed a recognised MET apprenticeship and hold NVQ/ATA/IMI/SVQ qualifications, with experience in geometry work and 4-wheel alignment, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship completed in MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician.
• Experience in busy body shop and strong team player.
• Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and geometry work.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced accident repair centre following factory specs.
• Repair vehicles to manufacturers' standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

Basic Salary: Up To £52,000

Extras:Individual Time Saved Bonus

Hours:45 hour week Monday to Friday (No Saturdays)

Job Description

Our client is looking for a talented and efficientMET Strip Fitter / MET Technicianto join this leading team. You will be repairing damaged vehicles in line with the manufacturers' specifications within a state of the art body shop, utilising modern equipment and techniques.

Qualifications required for an MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician

• Will have served a recognised apprenticeship as aMET Strip Fitter / MET Technicianand gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / ATA /IMI/ SVQ)
• Must have previous experience working as aMET Technician / MET Strip Fitterwithin a busy body shop and be a strong team player with a self-motivation to earn bonus hours
• Have experience with Geometry work and 4 wheel Alignment
• Will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques
• Diagnostic training

Duties of an MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction
