Job summary

Tru Talent seeks a talented MET Technician to join a leading body shop in Bristol. You will repair vehicles per manufacturer specs using modern equipment, under a busy and dynamic team environment.

The role requires an apprenticeship in MET or equivalent qualification and experience as a MET Technician/Strip Fitter. You will work Mon-Fri with flexible start times and potential bonus hours, contributing to high quality repairs and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognised MET apprenticeship and gained a technical qualification such as NVQ/ATA/IMI/SVQ.
• Previous MET Technician/Strip Fitter experience in a busy body shop is required.
• Strong teamwork and motivation to earn bonus hours.
• Experience with geometry work and 4-wheel alignment.
• Solid up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and diagnostic training.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow correct repair techniques and factory specifications.
• Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as required.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and fix system faults.
• Perform quality checks to meet industry standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations.
