Job summary

ARC Recruits is seeking a MET Technician for a busy accident repair centre. You’ll strip and refit vehicles to manufacturer standards, diagnose faults, and work with ADAS systems to ensure high-quality repairs. A full UK driving licence and experience in a body shop are essential.

The successful candidate will join a professional team, work in a well-equipped facility, and contribute to timely, high-standard vehicle repairs while adhering to safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an MET Technician,Strip & Fit Technician or Vehicle Technician within an accident repair centre or body shop.
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems.
• Experience working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality repairs.
• ATA accreditation is desirable but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Stripping damaged vehicles ready for repair.
• Refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components following repair.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs where required.
• Removing and replacing vehicle components safely and efficiently.
• Working with ADAS systems and carrying out calibrations where required.
• Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Liaising with workshop colleagues to ensure repairs are completed on time.
• Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
