Job summary

Tru Talent is seeking a talented MET Technician/ MET Strip Fitter / Car Fitter to join a leading team in a state-of-the-art body shop. You will repair damaged vehicles to manufacturer specifications using the latest equipment and techniques.

Key duties include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, disassembling and reassembling parts, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to safety protocols and delivering customer satisfaction in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship as MET Technician/MET Strip Fitter/Car Fitter/Strip & Fit Technician.
• Previous experience in a busy bodyshop environment.
• Experience with Geometry work and 4-wheel alignment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
• Diagnostic training.
• Self-motivated and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix issues in the vehicle's systems.
• Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and standards.
