Job summary

Tru Talent is assisting a leading bodyshop in recruiting a MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician to repair damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications using state-of-the-art equipment.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, performing diagnostics, disassembly/reassembly, and precise repairs while maintaining records and following safety standards. The role requires an apprenticeship in MET and hands-on experience in vehicle repair techniques.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship in MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician.
• Experience in a busy bodyshop environment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
• Knowledge of geometry work and 4-wheel alignment.
• Diagnostic training.
• Self-motivated and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix issues in the vehicle's systems.
• Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and standards.
