Job summary

Tru Talent is seeking a talented MET Technician / MET Strip Fitter to join a leading bodyshop in the Wakefield area. You will repair vehicles to manufacturer specifications using the latest equipment and techniques in a state-of-the-art facility.

The role requires experience in a busy bodyshop, geometry work and 4-wheel alignment, diagnostic training, and a strong team ethic. You will be expected to maintain high quality, safety standards and accurate repair records.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship completed in vehicle body repair.
• Experience in busy bodyshop environment.
• Experience with geometry and 4-wheel alignment.
• Knowledge of current repair techniques.
• Diagnostic training required.

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a talented and efficient

MET Technician/ MET Strip Fitter / Car Fitter / Strip &Fit Technicianto join a leading team. You will be repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications in a state-of-the-art body shop, using the latest equipment and techniques.

Key Responsibilities of an MET Technician/ MET Strip Fitter / Car Fitter / Strip &Fit Technician:

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction
• Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix issues in the vehicle's systems
• Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed
• Adhere to all safety protocols and standards
