Job summary

CAREER CHOICES DEWIS GYRFA LTD. is seeking an experienced MET Technician for our Southport site. The role is full-time and onsite, Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, delivering high standards of vehicle repairs with technical excellence.

You will strip, repair and align vehicle components, work to manufacturer specifications, and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced environment. A full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MET Technician or Auto Electrician with an IMI/ATA qualification.
• Experience in a busy bodyshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Strip and rebuild mechanical, electrical and trim components to high standards.
• Perform four-wheel alignment checks and adjustments per manufacturer specs.
• Ensure vehicle safety during repairs with proper PPE and COSHH adherence.
• Collaborate with team, damage assessors and production to maintain workflow.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and use safety equipment.
• Work with electric vehicles using relevant technical knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrate strong workmanship and customer service.

We are currently seeking an experienced MET Technician to join a reputable accident repair specialist in Southport. The successful individual will be an integral part of a busy team delivering high standards of vehicle repairs and technical excellence. Full-time, onsite position based in Southport, working Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week.,

• Strip and rebuild the mechanical, electrical, and trim components of vehicles to high standards
• Conduct four-wheel alignment checks and adjustments in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Ensure vehicles are protected during repair with appropriate safety equipment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, vehicle damage assessors, and the production team to maintain smooth workflow
• Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines, including COSHH and PPE requirements
• Work with electric vehicles using relevant technical knowledge and skills
• Proven experience as an MET Technician or Auto Electrician with a recognised industry qualification such as IMI/ATA
• Strong experience working within a bodyshop environment
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Dedication to delivering high-quality work and customer service excellence
• Full UK driving licence is preferred
