Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is seeking an experienced MET Technician for a well-established accident repair centre in Manchester. The role focuses on high-quality mechanical, electrical and trim repairs within a modern bodyshop, using the latest equipment and a supportive team.

Offer includes up to £46,000 basic, an individual bonus scheme with OTE £55,000+, and a permanent, full-time position with 45 hours weekly from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician/Strip & Fit Technician in an accident repair centre.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with suspension, steering and vehicle geometry.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Stripping and rebuilding accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Identifying and reporting any additional damage not included within the original estimate.
• Carrying out suspension repairs and mechanical work.
• Completing four-wheel alignment and geometry (GEO) adjustments.

The Role

As an MET Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality mechanical, electrical and trim repairs as part of the vehicle repair process.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components
• Stripping and rebuilding accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards
• Identifying and reporting any additional damage not included within the original estimate
• Carrying out suspension repairs and mechanical work
• Completing four-wheel alignment and geometry (GEO) adjustments

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience as an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician within an accident repair centre
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Experience with suspension, steering and vehicle geometry
• ATA Accreditation (desirable but not essential)
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (advantageous)
• Hybrid Vehicle qualification (preferred)
• ADAS Accreditation (preferred)
• A full UK driving licence
