Job summary

Tru Talent is seeking a skilled MET Technician in Liverpool to join a leading bodyshop. You will repair vehicles per manufacturer specs using state-of-the-art equipment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The role requires a recognised MET apprenticeship and relevant technical qualifications, along with experience in a busy bodyshop and knowledge of 4-wheel alignment and diagnostic processes. Excellent team fit and safety adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent recognised qualification in MET.
• Technical qualification (NVQ/ATA/IMI/SVQ) for MET work.
• Experience in a busy bodyshop environment is required.
• Experience with geometry work and 4-wheel alignment is desirable.
• Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
• Diagnostic training is preferred.
• Self-motivated and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow repair techniques in line with factory specs and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or replace damaged components in mechanical, electrical and trim areas.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix vehicle systems issues.
• Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.

Salary: up to £50,000

Hours: Mon-Fri, 40h week

Our client is looking for a talented and efficient MET Technician/ MET Strip Fitter / Car Fitter / Strip & Fit Technician to join a leading team. You will be repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications in a state-of-the-art body shop, using the latest equipment and techniques.

Key Responsibilities of an MET Technician/ MET Strip Fitter / Car Fitter / Strip & Fit Technician:

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre


• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction


• Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues


• Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components


• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed


• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix issues in the vehicle's systems


• Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards
