Job summary

Holt Recruitment is seeking an experienced MET Technician / Strip Fitter to join a busy accident repair centre in Greenhithe. You will perform vehicle strip, fit and mechanical repairs, ensuring returns to pre-accident condition with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

The role offers up to £25 per hour, a Monday–Friday schedule, and ongoing training within a manufacturer-approved facility. Experience with ADAS and EV systems is advantageous for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician/Strip Fitter within accident repair
• ATA or NVQ qualifications advantageous but not essential
• Hybrid and Electric Vehicle training beneficial
• ADAS experience desirable
• Attention to detail and teamwork in fast-paced workshop environment

Responsibilities

• Carry out removal and refitting of vehicle components to support high-quality body repairs
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles following repair methods and manufacturer guidelines
• Identify and report additional damage beyond original estimate
• Perform mechanical repairs including suspension work, four-wheel alignment, and diagnostics
• Complete GEO and ADAS tasks where required
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely, high-quality repairs
• Maintain focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction

The MET Technician / Strip Fitter Role (Greenhithe)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated MET Technician to join a busy, professional accident repair centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a high-performing team.

You will play a key role in the repair process, carrying out vehicle strip, fit, and mechanical repairs while ensuring every vehicle is returned to pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out the removal and refitting of vehicle components to support high-quality body repairs
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles efficiently, following repair methods and manufacturer guidelines
• Accurately identify and report any additional damage not included within the original estimate
• Perform mechanical repairs including suspension work, four-wheel alignment, and diagnostic procedures
• Complete GEO and ADAS-related tasks where required
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure repairs are completed on time and to a high standard
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout the repair process

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as an MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or Vehicle Technician within an accident repair environment
• ATA or NVQ qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
• Hybrid and Electric Vehicle training would be beneficial
• ADAS experience or accreditation would be highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering first-class repairs
• Strong team player with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced workshop environment
