Job summary

Holt Recruitment is seeking an experienced MET Technician for our client’s national accident repair group, with bodyshops across the UK, including Coventry. The role involves dismantling, repairing and rebuilding vehicles to the highest standard while supporting a smooth workflow in the busy bodyshop.

We offer up to £55,000 per annum, 33 days holiday, ongoing internal and external training, a pension scheme and healthcare benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician or Strip Fitter.
• ATA/NVQ qualifications advantageous but not essential.
• Hybrid/Electric vehicle training preferred; ADAS training desired.

Responsibilities

• Remove and refit parts to ensure body repairs meet a high-quality standard.
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed.
• Identify and report unseen damage absent from the original estimate.
• Carry out 4-wheel alignment, suspension work, GEO diagnostics, and other mechanical tasks.

The Role

We are looking for a skilled MET Technician to join our team.

This hands-on role involves dismantling, repairing, and rebuilding vehicles to the highest standard, while supporting a smooth and efficient workflow across the bodyshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove and refit parts to ensure body repairs meet a high-quality standard
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed
• Identify and report unseen damage absent from the original estimate
• Carry out 4-wheel alignment, suspension work, GEO diagnostics, and other mechanical tasks

Requirements

• Previous experience as an MET Technician / Strip Fitter
• ATA/NVQ qualifications advantageous but not essential
• Ideally trained in Hybrid/Electric vehicles
• Ideally ADAS trained
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
