Are you a skilled MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician looking for your next opportunity? Steer Automotive Group is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced professional to join our Exeterbodyshop.
About the Role
As an MET Technician, you’ll play a key role in restoring customers' vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Working on a wide range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment
Dismantle vehicles efficiently and safely in preparation for repair
Diagnose faults and conduct thorough inspections
Manage and order parts required for the repair process
Reassemble vehicles ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications
Collaborate closely with the wider team to ensure smooth workflow and communication
About You
You’re an experienced MET Technician with a background in accident repair and a passion for delivering high-quality work. You stay calm under pressure and always aim to exceed expectations.
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience in MET repair, ideally including work on EV and hybrid vehicles
Knowledge of ADAS systems, diagnostics, and modern repair techniques
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
