Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced MET Technician for a reputable family-run accident repair centre in Dartford, Kent. You will remove damaged parts, diagnose issues, order parts and reinstall components, ensuring tolerances and paintwork are preserved.

The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive pay rate (£20 - £27 per hour), up to £60,000 OTE, Monday to Friday 7am-4pm, 22 days plus bank holidays, pension, ongoing training, and clear career progression within a supportive

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a MET Technician within a reputable bodyshop or accident repair centre.
• Ability to diagnose damage, order parts, and restore vehicles to factory tolerances.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Remove damaged parts and prepare components for reinstallation.
• Diagnose additional damage and liaise with the Vehicle Damage Assessor.
• Order parts and ensure accuracy and timeliness of repairs.
• Reinstall repaired components, maintaining paintwork and tolerances.
• Reset vehicle control units using diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain tools, equipment and materials to high standards.

Duties of the MET Technician:

• Removing damaged parts to facilitate repairs and preparing components for reinstallation
• Diagnosing additional damage and liaising with the Vehicle Damage Assessor
• Ordering and checking parts for accuracy and completeness
• Reinstalling repaired components carefully, avoiding damage to painted panels and ensuring manufacturer tolerances
• Replacing mechanical components of steering, drivetrain, and engine as necessary
• Resetting vehicle control units using diagnostic equipment
• Adhering to all health and safety legislation and internal procedures
• Attending regular safety and technical training sessionsMaintaining tools, equipment, and materials to high standards
