Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a MET Technician / Strip Fitter to join a leading bodyshop in St Albans. You will repair vehicles to manufacturers' specs using modern equipment in a state-of-the-art facility.

The role requires an apprenticeship and a technical qualification (NVQ/VCQ/SVQ/ATA), with prior experience in a busy body shop. Salary ranges from £50,000 to £55,000 with an OTE of £70,000 and bonus hours potential.

MET Technician / Strip Fitter details:
Salary:£50,000 - £55,000
Working Hours:Monday to Friday 6am - 4pm or 7am - 5pm

Talented and efficient MET Technician/ Strip Fitter to join this leading team. As a MET Technician / Strip Fitter, you will be repairing damaged vehicles in line with the manufacturers' specifications within a state-of-the-art Bodyshop, utilising modern equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities of an MET Technician / Strip Fitter

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications of an MET Technician / Strip Fitter

• You will have served a recognised apprenticeship as a MET Technician / Strip Fitter and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA).
• You must have previous experience working as a MET Technician / Strip Fitter within a busy body shop and be a strong team player with a self-motivation to earn bonus hours.
• You will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
