Skype for Business, Mattermost/Symphony

Location: Chester

Duration: 12 Months

One of our large Financial clients is currently looking for an IT Messaging Support Engineer - specializing in Real Time Messaging with experience in Skype for Business, Mattermost/Symphony.

The Collaboration Operations Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the Unified Communications collaboration environment. This role acts as an application analyst, managing the day-to-day operations, addressing critical client escalations, and overseeing all production changes and infrastructure deployments.

  • Hands-on experience managing Skype for Business, Mattermost/Symphony Group Chat & MS Teams (IM, Online Meetings with content sharing, Persistent Chat Rooms, Mobile IM, B2B Federation, P2P Audio/Video, Audio conferencing & Softphone/Enterprise Voice).
  • Experience managing Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 environments.
  • Familiarity with writing PowerShell scripts.
  • Ability to read SIP traces, UCCAPI log files, Wireshark network captures.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, SCOM, SiteScope.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, Server, SQL databases, networking & voice technologies.
  • Knowledge of Linux servers, networking, and storage technologies.
  • Experience with virtual platforms (both client and server) and Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with incident, change & problem management disciplines and the Remedy ITSM toolset.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Telephony and network experience.
  • ITIL Certification and a deep understanding of ITIL principles, functions, and processes are a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute processes supporting the IT infrastructure to develop, deliver, and support IT services meeting business SLAs.
  • Prepare for new or changed services, manage change processes, and maintain compliance with regulatory, legal, and professional standards.
  • Manage and support infrastructure applications and related data repositories daily.
  • Monitor, measure, report, and review application service performance to ensure availability and capacity meet business demands.
  • Apply security procedures to maintain compliance across infrastructure applications.
