Job summary

Sopra Steria's Aerospace, Defence and Security business designs, builds and deploys secure messaging and infrastructure services for central government clients. The role focuses on on-site delivery in Gloucestershire, with Deep Vetting eligible and participation in an on-call rota.

You will produce designs for messaging components, implement, test and support deployments while helping users during early live running.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Messaging toolsets (Exchange/Skype/SharePoint).
• Strong Windows administration skills including users, servers and patching.
• Ability to produce designs, build components and support testing activities.
• Experience with risk management, change control, configuration and release management.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed software and infrastructure designs, including performance specs and physical designs.
• Design, build and unit test messaging components and support link testing.
• Support implementation activities and system installations.
• Create user documentation and develop operational procedures for early live running.
• Contribute to project delivery through risk, change, configuration and release management.
