Job summary

Sopra Steria in Gloucestershire is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer – Messaging Solutions to design, build and support secure messaging platforms within Aerospace, Defence and Security. You will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from design and development through testing, implementation and early-life support.

The role includes an on-call rota (one week in four) and the chance to work on meaningful projects in a unique environment, with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Experience producing designs for messaging infrastructure.
• Experience building software components and supporting testing activities.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows administration, including deployment and patching.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed software and infrastructure designs, including performance specifications and physical designs.
• Designing, building and unit testing messaging components and supporting link testing activities.
• Supporting implementation activities and system installations.
• Creating user documentation, developing operational procedures and supporting users during early live running.
• Contributing to project delivery through risk management, change control, configuration management and release management activities.
